Project Brief

'Epic Hair Designs' is a dreamy platform that offers beautiful hair transformations at 16 locations throughout Brisbane and Hope Island on the Gold Coast. The website can be used to book several packages at the location of choice to relax and loosen. One can book services like hair cuts, colors, events and styling, and much more. People can also choose a stylist of their choice to make the experience extra comfortable.

The website also has some attractive schemes, pay later options for service, and membership plans which the clients can opt for after creating their accounts.

Challenges

• Designing a stylish but easy-to-navigate website that allows clients to log in and access their accounts to view the previously availed services and make new bookings.
• Having a company info section for the new visitors.
• Allowing the clients to view the list of services including hair cut, hair color, treatments, hair extensions, events and styling, and products, later enabling them to read the descriptions with pictures to give them a fair idea about their choice.
• To let the clients choose a package of their choice using filters like the length of hair, service type, and location.
• Letting the clients search for the individual salon prices by location.
• Appending the location map with a pegman to open the street view in the Salon Finder section.
• Letting the clients choose their stylist by applying filters like the salon, specialty, and position and displaying the results for stylists with their photographs and specialties.
• Having a blog section for the interested clients including articles about the latest hair trends.
• Creating a ‘Win prizes’ section to display attractive schemes.
• Creating an ‘After Pay’ section allowing the users to book the services first and pay later interest-free. Adding a similar pay later system for the purchase of products called ‘ZipPay Salon Brisbane.’
• Adding point plans like ‘Club Epic’ and membership plans for the users to make the services enticing.
• Integrating Facebook messenger into the website.

Solutions

• Built a chic and easy-to-navigate website according to client's expectations that enable customers to log in and access their accounts to view previously opted services and make new bookings.
• A company info section is created for the new visitors.
• The list of services including hair cut, hair color, treatments, hair extensions, events and styling, and products is displayed for the client, which they can click on and read the descriptions with pictures to get a fair idea.
• The clients can easily choose a package of their preference using filters like the length of hair, service type, and location.
• The clients are allowed to search for individual salon prices by location.
• The location map is appended with a pegman to open the street view in the Salon Finder section.
• A system is built where the clients can choose their stylist by applying filters like the salon, specialty, and position, and the results for stylists with their photographs and specialties are displayed.
• A blog section is added for the curious clients, where the articles about the latest hair trends are shared.
