Project Brief

Obsidian Edge is an ultra-modern online salon booking platform that offers seamless salon appointment booking at a button’s click. The website and its app (both Android & iOS) is designed to bring the salon owners and customers on a single platform for mutual benefit.

Challenges

• To design a well-structured, engaging and user friendly website that exactly reflects the client idea of bringing salon owners and customers on a single robust platform.
• To develop visually appealing and easy-to-navigate android and iOS apps, enabling hassle-free salon search and online booking for the users.
• To design a separate admin section for the salon owners to view, manage and modify online booking by users.
• To design detailed service pages for the registered salons, where they can put content, images, videos for the users.
• Design a ‘Team’ web page that displays the thumbnail of all staff members of a salon, with their name and expertise. Moreover, to display details about team members, expertise, experience, images, certifications and some texts.
• Develop a web page that displays the list of all locations of a registered salon with its details, available services , timings, location on a Google map and distance calculator on Google map.
• Create a ‘Contact us’ page with contact information, general inquiry form, and all locations marked on Google map.
• Develop a live chat feature where users would be able to do live chat with admin to book appointments and know about other details.
• Design a booking form for users asking for details to book an appointment like select salon, choose date, time, stylist, required service, online payment, and finally email confirmation once booking is done successfully.
• For admin, enable features like monthly view, weekly view and daily view along with adding reservation & block time slots from daily view.
• Enable email and SMS notification on successful booking, for both salon owner and customer.
• Build a secure and robust online payment option with custom payment method support and pay later option.
• Enable admin to control and add custom form fields.
• Integrate social media channels for a better user experience.

• Enabled email and SMS notification on successful booking, for both salon owner and customer.
